Ready for the 4th of July? You are now!

When you think about a traditional American Fourth of July, what comes to mind?

For us, it’s lots of red, white and blue bunting. Parades down historic main streets or tree-lined avenues lined with stately old homes. Little ones all decked out in holiday finery. (And grown-ups, too!). Picnics, block parties, backyard cookouts and, of course, fireworks to light up the night sky.

Whether you’re a native, or you’ve decided to make the Vail Valley or Summit County your home (or home away from home), you know that the holiday is something special here, too. We bring all of those American traditions to life … often, with a little mountain twist.

This year, join in the fun yourself! Take part in all the local festivities (it’s a real blast – pun intended). And then, invite all your friends and family over for an amazing party in your completely decked-out-for-the-holiday backyard. They won’t be disappointed, and you’ll create memories to last a lifetime. Wondering where to begin? Try this tips:

You’re gonna need a grill

What’s a party without food? And what’s a Fourth of July party without something yummy on the grill? Come see us. We’ll hook you up.

Decorate

Yes, really. All the best parties have decorations. Make it easy on yourself and purchase some themed decorations from a local store, or if you’re the crafty sort, make your own.

These are fun

Themed treats can carry the day

Colored deviled eggs? Why not. Easy and patriotic marshmallows on a stick. How ‘bout frosted sugar cookie bars, completed with sprinkles and proud-to-be-an-American buttercream? For something healthy, try cutting watermelon into star shapes with a cookie cutter.

Now THIS takes lawn decoration to an entirely new level.

Your guests are also going to need a place to sit.

No backyard is complete without the right outdoor furniture. Let us help you choose the dining, lounge and conversation sets that are perfect for your space.

Keep the fun going

Set up a fun station with snaps, bubbles, poppers, safe sparklers and other small items to keep your guests – especially the young ones – happily entertained until the professional fireworks start after dark.

Most of all, have a great Fourth of July!
